On the evening of August 8, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Outstanding Banking Awards ceremony was held by the International Data Group in Vietnam (IDG Vietnam). Agribank was honored to receive three awards: “Outstanding bank for high-tech agricultural development”; "Outstanding retail bank" and "Outstanding bank for the community”.

This is the 13th year in a row that the honoring ceremony for Vietnam Outstanding Banks has been held, the prestigious annual award in the banking sector to honor banks with outstanding achievements in terms of banking operations, products and services, making contribution to the development of the country.

For many years, developing high-tech agriculture based on scientific and technological innovation has been considered as one of the key and central solutions to solve challenges in agricultural development. Agribank has been proactive in providing capital as well as practical advice and support to customers. In order to support customers to access preferential loans to promote production and business, Agribank has been implementing many credit programs with preferential interest rates in line with the policies of the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam. Many other practical and timely programs have been implemented by Agribank to support the development of this field, which is the reason why Agribank is honored to receive the award for "Outstanding bank for high-tech agricultural development”.

With the advantage of a widespread network, ATMs, CDMs, mobile transaction points using specialized cars operating in remote areas, Agribank aims to spread its payment network to serve a large number of customers, of which the rural agricultural sector accounts for a high proportion. Implementing the digital transformation strategy, Agribank focuses on improving payment processes by simplifying procedures, documents, and transitioning from paper-based transactions to digital and automated transactions. At the same time, Agribank strengthens cooperation with the Farmers' Association, the Women's Union, and the Cooperative Alliance to raise awareness of customers in rural areas about banking and financial services, retail banking services, increase understanding and form electronic payment habits when making transactions on e-commerce platforms, etc.

Having become a good tradition, taking care and helping the poor, disadvantaged people and policy beneficiary families has always been recognized by Agribank's branches throughout the system as an important task and therefore promoted with practical and pervasive activities and programs with the motto: “Leaving no one behind”.

In the first 6 months of 2024 alone, Agribank has donated more than VND 220 billion VND to social security activities in localities across the country, of which for the 2024 Lunar New Year alone, the entire Agribank system provided nearly VND 110 billion in support for the poor and policy families across the country. Thereby, contributing to spreading the message of compassion, sharing and determination to act so that no one is left behind.
