Agribank advances technology innovation, expands its digital ecosystem, and promotes financial inclusion

31/12/2025

Building on its achievements in digital transformation, in 2025 Agribank continued to expand its digital ecosystem to serve customers more effectively while reinforcing its pioneering position in the era of digital banking. These efforts extended beyond internal operations, generating a positive impact across the financial-banking sector and among enterprises and farming households nationwide.

A notable advancement was the upgrade and widespread deployment of the Agribank Plus platform, delivering a seamless, user-friendly digital experience with enhanced transaction security. Agribank also put into operation more than 2,200 smart transaction counters nationwide, serving customers in both urban and rural areas, improving access to digital services, and promoting cashless payment adoption.

In parallel, Agribank implemented a series of key technology projects, including the Open SmartBank system, Payment Hub, Open API, and Omni-Channel platforms, establishing a future-ready technical foundation for comprehensive digitalization. Cooperation with fintech partners and integration with the national population database have significantly improved customer identification and authentication accuracy, while accelerating administrative reform and banking service delivery.

These efforts have been recognized by society and the banking industry through numerous prestigious awards, with Agribank’s digital applications and technological solutions repeatedly honored at major banking and IT awards such as the Sao Khue Awards, affirming Agribank’s position as a bank with one of the most diverse and comprehensive digital technology ecosystems.

Human resource development has also remained a key focus. In 2025, Agribank implemented dozens of training programs on information technology, digital skills, and artificial intelligence for nearly 100,000 staff training sessions, contributing to the formation of a professional digital workforce capable of meeting the demands of the digital era. Specialized initiatives such as “Women Leaders of Agribank in the Digital Era” further enhanced digital leadership capacity across the system.

Beyond internal development, Agribank has actively strengthened connectivity with strategic partners, expanded technology cooperation, and developed digital products in pursuit of building a modern bank with deep integration into the international financial system, thereby promoting financial inclusion, supporting enterprise innovation, and enhancing competitiveness in the global digital economy.
