Hanoi, 28 November 2025 – Agribank and DHL Express Vietnam have officially signed a cooperation agreement to upgrade the GoGreen Plus service to the 90% level for international document transportation. The initiative marks a significant milestone in the two parties’ green-operations partnership, contributing to CO₂ emissions reduction through Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) insetting and supporting sustainable development in international trade activities.

As sustainability becomes an essential requirement of global commerce, reducing carbon emissions across international trade operations—including international document delivery that supports Agribank’s import–export payment activities—plays an increasingly crucial role in promoting green growth and fulfilling environmental responsibilities.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Trần Thanh Hà, Director of the Trade Finance Center, highlighted that the GoGreen Plus 90% upgrade represents an important milestone in the strategic cooperation between Agribank and DHL Express toward sustainable development and greener trade.

According to Ms. Hà, Agribank is Vietnam’s largest commercial bank, with more than 2,200 branches and transaction offices nationwide, ranked among the Top 10 most valuable brands in Vietnam in 2024 and the Top 500 largest enterprises in Southeast Asia. Beyond its pivotal role in agriculture and rural development, Agribank also serves one of the largest bases of import–export customers in Vietnam—an important foundation for expanding international document delivery services through its partnership with DHL.

Against the backdrop of robust growth in global trade, Agribank consistently prioritizes cooperation with reputable partners to enhance the quality of international payment services and expand service capabilities for import–export clients.

Since the early 1990s, Agribank branches have regularly used express delivery services for document packages from various international partners, including DHL. The long-standing cooperation between the two sides has therefore been closely linked to the formation and development of Agribank’s international payment operations.

From the initial implementation of GoGreen Plus at the 50% emissions-reduction level, Agribank achieved a 63.38% CO₂e reduction, calculated based on the proportion of Sustainable Aviation Fuel used, and was awarded the GoGreen Plus Certificate 2024 by DHL. This strong result provided the basis for Agribank’s decision to upgrade the service to the 90% level, further enhancing its capability to reduce emissions in international document transportation.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Bernardo Bautista, General Director and Country Manager of DHL Express Vietnam, praised Agribank’s determination to pioneer green logistics solutions. He noted that GoGreen Plus is a strategic initiative by DHL designed to support customers in reducing emissions in air transportation through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Agribank’s decision to raise its usage level to 90% demonstrates the bank’s leadership, proactive commitment, and clear dedication to mitigating environmental impacts and promoting sustainable values across the global supply chain.

In the next phase, Agribank and DHL Express Vietnam will continue to collaborate to enhance the quality of international document delivery, adopting green and sustainable solutions to better support import–export clients through services that are modern, professional, and environmentally friendly.

GoGreen Plus is a DHL service designed to reduce carbon emissions by using Sustainable Aviation Fuel on DHL-operated flights, helping to minimize the carbon footprint of transportation activities.
