Upholding the nation’s solidarity tradition, responding to the call of General Secretary, President To Lam and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, with the spirit of “mutual love", "the leaves protect tattered ones", Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) Union encourages all officials and employees to donate 1 day's salary to Support localities and people to overcome difficulties. The amount of support is estimated to reach over VND 20 billion.

With the donations of staff and employees across the system, Agribank hopes to provide more resources to the political system and localities to support people in storm and flood-stricken areas to quickly overcome the damage.

Previously, at the Flood Recovery Support Launching Ceremony of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Agribank donated VND 2 billion, together with the Banking industry, to support people affected by storm the typhoon Yagi. As of September 12, 2024, the entire Agribank system had donated more than VND 17 billion to support typhoon recovery efforts.

Despite the operations of many branches, transaction offices are also affected and facilities were damaged by storms, rain and floods. However, upholding the role of corporate responsibility towards the community, Agribank has implemented many meaningful activities, helping localities and people to overcome difficulties and resume their normal life.

In addition to social security work, Agribank branches in affected areas have also urgently taken actions to resume normal operations, ensuring smooth operations; at the same time, proactively visited and provided support for customers, partners, people, and businesses in typhoon-stricken and flooded areas.
