On the evening of November 4, 2024, at the National Convention Center, the 9th Vietnam National Brand Announcement Ceremony 2024 took place to honor the brands recognized as representing Vietnam's National Brand. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with members of the Party Central Committee, leaders of ministries, departments and sectors. Agribank is honored to continue to be honored as Vietnam National Brand in 2024.
The Vietnam National Brand Program is a specific, long-term trade promotion program of the Government of Vietnam to build and develop national brands through product brands. The program aims to honor featured brands, products and businesses that are representatives of the Vietnam's National Brand, while contributing to affirming that Vietnam is a country with high-quality goods and services, with strong competitiveness in the international market. The selection and evaluation are conducted through the criteria system approved in Decision No. 30/2019/QD-TTg dated October 8, 2019 of the Prime Minister, Circular No. 33/2019/TT-BCT and Circular No. 25/2021/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
With the theme of the 2024 Vietnam National Brand Product Announcement Ceremony "Green aspirations", the Program hopes to promote businesses to contribute to the development of a green and sustainable economy so that the National Brand not only represents the quality and reputation of Vietnamese enterprises but also marks a strong commitment towards the green development of products and services with Vietnamese brands.
This is the 4th year in a row that Agribank has been honored as a Vietnamese National Brand, affirming the prestige and long-standing position of a leading state-owned commercial bank, operating stably and effectively, making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the country. Agribank pioneers in committing to and implementing action plans on green transformation and sustainable development associated with ESG policy frameworks, leading in social security work for the community.
In its 36 years of development, with the key role of providing capital and financial services for the economy, especially in the agricultural and rural areas, Agribank has effectively implemented 7 policy credit programs, national target programs, "clean agriculture" credit programs, and at the same time, urgently completed procedures and guidelines for piloting the credit program for the project to develop 1 million hectares of high-quality rice, low-emission rice linked with green growth in the Mekong Delta region by 2030, etc.
In 2024, Agribank maintains its position as a leading enterprise on many prestigious rankings such as: TOP10 most valuable brands in Vietnam in 2024, TOP10 Strongest Vietnamese Brands 2024, etc.
