12/07/2026

At the Asian Banking & Finance Awards 2026 ceremony held in Singapore, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) was honoured by Asian Banking & Finance as the “Vietnam Domestic Foreign Exchange Bank of the Year”. This marks the second consecutive year that Agribank has received this prestigious award, affirming its capabilities in delivering foreign exchange services and meeting customers’ diverse foreign currency needs. The recognition also acknowledges Agribank’s efforts to support Vietnamese businesses in expanding their production and business operations and strengthening their international integration.

The Asian Banking & Finance Awards 2026 brought together leading financial institutions from across the region and comprised three awards programmes: the Retail Banking Awards, Wholesale Banking Awards, and Corporate & Investment Banking Awards. The event honours organisations that have delivered outstanding performance and made tangible progress in product development, digital solutions, customer engagement strategies and operational capabilities, while sustaining long-term value for customers and other stakeholders amid constantly changing market conditions.

At the Asian Banking & Finance Wholesale Banking Awards 2026, Agribank was named “Vietnam Domestic Foreign Exchange Bank of the Year”, alongside numerous leading banks and financial institutions from countries and territories across Asia.

Following its first recognition in 2025, Agribank’s receipt of the award for a second consecutive year demonstrates that its foreign exchange service capabilities have remained consistently strong and are increasingly meeting customers’ diverse needs amid volatility in international financial markets. The award also recognises Agribank’s reputation, professional expertise, service quality and ongoing efforts to enhance foreign currency solutions for individual customers, corporate customers and financial institutions.

In its foreign currency trading activities, Agribank continues to diversify its product portfolio, enhance its capacity to meet customers’ foreign currency needs and improve customer service processes. Its foreign currency buying and selling solutions are delivered flexibly and tailored to the transaction, payment and financial planning requirements of different customer segments. These solutions help customers proactively secure the foreign currency they need, optimise costs and mitigate the adverse effects of exchange-rate fluctuations.

Agribank currently offers foreign currency trading products to a wide range of customer segments, including spot, forward and swap transactions. This diverse product portfolio enables customers to select solutions that are appropriate to their foreign currency requirements, cash-flow plans and risk management needs at different points in time.

For the business community, particularly importers and exporters, access to foreign currency and exchange-rate movements directly affect input costs, revenue and overall business performance. Based on customers’ actual requirements and in compliance with foreign exchange regulations, Agribank provides foreign currency for legitimate purposes and advises businesses on appropriate solutions. This helps businesses proactively plan their payments, control costs and strengthen their ability to adapt to market fluctuations.

With the capacity to provide a wide range of currencies and suitable transaction solutions, Agribank enables customers to fulfil their payment obligations more conveniently, select appropriate transaction currencies and expand their business relationships with overseas partners. The integration of foreign exchange services with international payment facilities contributes to greater transaction efficiency and supports customers as they deepen their integration into international markets and participate more extensively in global value chains.

Agribank’s foreign exchange service capabilities are further strengthened by its extensive correspondent banking network, which connects Agribank with hundreds of banks worldwide. This provides an important foundation for Agribank to strengthen its links with international financial markets, respond flexibly to customers’ foreign currency transaction needs and support them in conducting cross-border transactions safely, conveniently and efficiently.

Alongside developing its product portfolio and expanding cooperative relationships, Agribank focuses on maintaining appropriate exchange-rate policies, improving the quality of its advisory services and delivering greater benefits to customers. In 2026, Agribank continues to implement a support programme for importers and exporters, offering policies relating to financing, deposits, service fees, and foreign currency buying and selling rates. These measures contribute to reducing business costs and improving operational efficiency.

Agribank also places strong emphasis on enhancing the professional capabilities of its employees, standardising operational processes and strengthening risk management in foreign exchange activities. By closely monitoring market developments and customer needs, Agribank aims to provide safe, flexible and practical foreign currency solutions, while ensuring that foreign currency trading activities are conducted in a compliant, effective and sustainable manner.

The “Vietnam Domestic Foreign Exchange Bank of the Year” award once again affirms Agribank’s position and reputation in the foreign exchange sector, while adding another significant distinction to the track record of one of Vietnam’s leading commercial banks. It also provides further impetus for Agribank to continue innovating its products, enhancing its capacity to meet customers’ foreign currency needs, modernising transaction processes and continuously improving the customer experience.

With a strong financial foundation, an extensive operational network, deepening international partnerships and extensive experience in serving diverse customer segments, Agribank continues to reinforce its role as a trusted financial partner. Agribank remains committed to supporting customers in proactively responding to exchange-rate fluctuations, optimising costs and improving the efficiency of their production and business operations as they deepen their international integration.
