Agribank pioneers Napas – Mastercard co-branded card: One-touch payments, global reach

On May 15, 2025, Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) became one of the first six banks in Vietnam to officially launch the co-branded Agribank NAPAS – Mastercard card. This milestone marks a significant advancement in Agribank's strategy to enhance its smart payment ecosystem and promote international integration.
Dual-functionality Card
The Agribank NAPAS – Mastercard co-branded card integrates the features of both a domestic debit card and an international debit card under the Mastercard brand into a single physical card. This innovation allows customers to make quick payments domestically through the NAPAS system, which has over 650,000 acceptance points and more than 20,000 ATMs, while also enabling global transactions at over 150 million payment points and more than 1 million ATMs within the Mastercard network.
Additionally, the card supports online payments on both domestic and international e-commerce platforms, catering to the spending, study, travel, and work needs of Vietnamese consumers in the digital age.
Advanced security and contactless payment
The Agribank NAPAS – Mastercard co-branded card is equipped with a physical chip that implements two standards: VCCS for NAPAS and M/Chip for Mastercard. It also complies with the EMV international security standards, supporting both contact and contactless payment methods.
Environmental commitment
In line with its commitment to sustainable development, Agribank has produced these cards using recycled PVC material. This initiative not only reduces plastic waste but also ensures the cards maintain the same quality and durability as traditional plastic cards, while meeting all security and transaction safety standards.
