09/01/2026
The Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) continues to affirm its strong position in the national economic landscape as it is honored among the Top 10 Largest Enterprises in Vietnam in 2025, according to the VNR500 – Top 500 Largest Enterprises in Vietnam ranking recently announced. This marks the ninth consecutive year that Agribank has been listed in the Top 10, underscoring its significant role within Vietnam’s leading enterprise system.
The VNR500 ranking is compiled by Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company in cooperation with Vietnamnet Newspaper, based on independent evaluation criteria aligned with international standards. These include actual revenue, total assets, total workforce, profit after tax, and other key financial indicators. The ranking aims to recognize 500 enterprises with effective and stable business performance and substantial contributions to socio-economic development.
According to the published results, Agribank ranks seventh among the Top 10 largest enterprises in Vietnam in 2025, continuing nearly a decade of consistent presence at the top tier of the ranking. This achievement reflects the Bank’s large-scale financial operations, stable business performance, and extensive influence in the market.
As of end of 2025, Agribank maintained sustainable growth in both asset scale and credit activities. The Bank’s total assets exceeded VND 2.6 quadrillion, total deposits reached approximately VND 2.35 quadrillion, and outstanding credit stood at nearly VND 2 quadrillion, recording strong growth compared to the previous year. Of this, loans to the agriculture and rural sectors accounted for around 65%, reaffirming Agribank’s leading role in promoting “Tam Nong” – agriculture, farmers, and rural areas – a core pillar of the national economy.
Agribank has also actively implemented key national credit programs, including the One Million Hectares of High-Quality Rice Project, credit packages supporting high-tech agriculture, forestry and fisheries, while expanding investment in renewable energy and environmentally friendly sectors. Notably, the Bank is a pioneer in Vietnam’s carbon credit trading, contributing to the advancement of sustainable economic development.
With a network of more than 2,300 transaction points covering 100% of communes across the country, Agribank provides over 200 diversified financial products and services, serving more than 23 million customers and approximately 3 million borrowers. Digital services have been strongly promoted, with millions of digital accounts and bank cards in operation, enhancing customer experience and advancing cashless payment.
Throughout nearly 37 years of development, alongside its business activities, Agribank has consistently prioritized social responsibility by implementing extensive social welfare programs, including support for education, healthcare, housing for the disadvantaged, and disaster recovery efforts. The total value allocated to social welfare activities during the 2020–2025 period amounts to thousands of billions of VND, contributing to the widespread dissemination of community values.
Agribank’s continued inclusion among the Top 10 Largest Enterprises in Vietnam not only demonstrates its governance capacity, business effectiveness, and market influence, but also reflects its commitment to sustainable partnership with socio-economic development, contributing to poverty reduction, new rural development, and Vietnam’s deeper integration into the global economy.
