Agribank supports government directions – contributing to the achievement of the “double-digit” growth target

17/03/2026

Amid Vietnam's ambitious economic growth target of a GDP increase of over 10% during the 2026–2030 period, Agribank has proactively implemented a credit strategy aligned with the Government's and the State Bank of Vietnam's directives, demonstrating its commitment to supporting sustainable economic development.

According to Resolution No. 244/2025/QH15 on the 2026 Socio-Economic Development Plan, the goal of achieving double-digit growth not only focuses on speed but also emphasizes quality, sustainability, and self-reliance. This path requires promoting a growth model based on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, alongside maintaining macroeconomic stability and improving the living standards of the people.

In this context, Agribank has played a key role as one of the leading banks in the economy, especially in the "three rural" sectors. As of the end of 2025, Agribank’s total credit outstanding is expected to reach nearly VND 2 trillion, marking a nearly 15% increase compared to the previous year. Among this, loans for agriculture and rural development account for approximately 64% of total outstanding credit, the largest market share in the banking system.

Agribank has maintained a flexible approach, keeping lending rates stable, thereby helping businesses and individuals easily access capital. In 2025, credit for production and business activities will account for around 80% of the total loan portfolio, reflecting Agribank’s strategy of effectively supporting production and business according to Government requirements. In addition, the bank is expanding credit for industrial projects connected to value chains and has implemented a preferential credit package of VND 60,000 billion for businesses investing in infrastructure and digital transformation.

Furthermore, Agribank has been a pioneer in green credit, focusing its resources on clean agriculture, renewable energy, circular economy, and environmentally friendly projects. As of the end of 2025, Agribank’s green credit portfolio is expected to exceed VND 28,300 billion, contributing to the promotion of organic production, reducing emissions, and developing sustainable value chains.

In line with the goal of achieving double-digit growth, Agribank’s leadership confirms the bank’s continued commitment to maintaining its pivotal role, prioritizing safe and effective credit management, with an emphasis on green economy, digital transformation, technological innovation, and controlling credit quality and risk. With contributions to funding the development of agriculture and local economies, Agribank continues to affirm its role as a crucial financial institution in the nation’s socio-economic development journey.
