Agribank supports the sustainable development of Vietnam’s coffee and tea sectors
19/05/2025
As a leading state-owned commercial bank dedicated to agriculture and rural development, Agribank reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable growth of Vietnam’s coffee and tea industries—two of the country's key agricultural exports.
Recognizing the potential and challenges facing these sectors, Agribank has implemented a range of preferential credit programs tailored to each stage of the value chain—from cultivation and care to harvesting, processing, and export.
In particular, Agribank's coffee replanting program provides medium- and long-term loans with preferential interest rates to help farmers replace aging coffee trees with high-yield, pest-resistant varieties. These loans are structured to align with the growth cycle of coffee plants, allowing farmers sufficient time to restore production before entering the harvest phase.
For enterprises involved in processing and export, Agribank offers credit support to invest in advanced processing technologies for roasted, instant, and high-value coffee and tea products. Additionally, trade finance and international payment guarantee packages help businesses expand their export markets and enhance global competitiveness.
Since 2016, Agribank has deployed a preferential credit program worth at least VND 50 trillion, specifically supporting clean agricultural production for public health. The program offers lending rates 0.5%–1.5% per annum lower than standard agricultural loans.
With a nationwide network of over 2,300 branches and transaction offices, Agribank is well-positioned to provide accessible and effective financial services to both farmers and agribusinesses. Agribank remains committed to being not just a financial provider, but also a reliable development partner—contributing to elevating the value and international reputation of Vietnam’s coffee and tea industries.
