MoneyGram expands its global reach via partnership with Agribank in Vietnam

MoneyGram, a leading global payments network for consumers, businesses and communities, announced a partnership with Agribank, one of Vietnam’s largest commercial banks. Through this partnership, MoneyGram customers around the world can now send money to Vietnam for loved ones to pick up at any of Agribank’s 3,000 locations nationwide.

Senders can initiate transfers via MoneyGram Online – the MoneyGram mobile app or website – or by visiting any of the  over 450,000 MoneyGram agent retail locations which spans over 200 countries and territories. Recipients in Vietnam can conveniently pick up funds at any Agribank location.

“We are excited to partner with Agribank in Vietnam to further expand our global network and enhance access for our customers and communities,” said Vijay Raj Poduval, MoneyGram Head of Southeast Asia and Indo China. “With Agribank’s extensive reach across Vietnam, we can now serve even more customers  who want to send from and receive funds in the country.”

This partnership builds on MoneyGram’s physical presence in Vietnam, adding thousands of retail locations to its ecosystem and further strengthening access to fast, reliable and secure cross-border money transfer services.

According to Vietnam News (vietnamnews.vn), an estimated USD 16 billion in remittances was sent to Vietnam in 2024. To meet the growing demand for dependable cross-border services, MoneyGram is committed to continued network expansion across the country.
