Export turnover to the Netherlands and Germany increased in eight months of 2021
According to statistics of the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's export turnover of goods to the Netherlands in the first eight months of 2021 reached USD 5.05 billion, increased by 14.3% over the same period last year.
Computers, electronic products and components are the group of items with the largest export turnover, reaching USD 119.3 million in August 2021, bringing the total export turnover of eight months of 2021 to USD 1.1 billion, increased by 4.8%, accounting for 21.7% of total export turnover.
Next is the group of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts with USD 90.3 million in August 2021, increased by 13.2%, bringing the total export turnover in eight months of 2021 to USD 839.3 million, an increase of 67.7%, accounting for 16.6%.
Items with increased export turnover in the first eight months of 2021: Toys, sports equipment and parts with an increase of 49%; cameras, camcorders and components with an increase of 41.4%; rubber with an increase of 82.2%; rice with an increase of 52.5%.
The EU is a dynamic market. Great cooperation opportunities in the field of vegetable, fruit and vegetable trade, focusing on cooperative relationships with Dutch traders -where the volume of imports from developing countries has grown quite strongly in recent years. Because for a long time, the Netherlands has been considered as the gateway to the EU market, the leading transshipment place of Europe and the world, for vegetables and fruits. In particular, the EVFTA is bringing many new opportunities for Vietnamese and Dutch businesses.
According to statistics of the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of Vietnamese goods to the German market in the first eight months of 2021 reached USD 4.7 billion, increased by 8.3% over the same period last year.
Machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts led the export turnover to the German market in the first eight months of 2021, reaching USD 815.8 million, an increase of 98.1%, accounting for 17.2% of the export share.
In the first 8 months of 2021, Vietnam also exports other products to the German market: textiles and garments; computers, electronic products and components; the coffee; bags, purses, suitcases, hats and umbrellas; seafood; products from iron and steel; timber and wood products; plastic products; means of transport and spare parts; cashew; rubber; pepper, etc. in which, many items achieved export growth compared to the previous year: export of iron and steel products increased by 54.1%; raw materials, textiles, leather and footwear increased by 193.2%; rubber increased by 140.1%; cameras, camcorders and accessories increased by 705.5%; other common metals and products increased by 121.6%.
