Vietnam promotes export of tea products to Poland in the first month of 4th quarter

According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, the turnover of Vietnamese goods exported to Poland in the first month of the fourth quarter reached USD 178.36 million, a slight increase of 0.4% compared to the previous month, bringing the total turnover of the first 10 months of 2020 to USD 1.47 billion, an increase of 16.22% over the same period.

Poland is currently the 6th largest economy in the European Union (EU) and the largest market among Eastern European countries with nearly 40 million people, and is also Vietnam's number one partner in Eastern Europe; the turnover of goods exchange between the two countries in recent years has increased rapidly and Vietnam has maintained trade surplus with Poland.

Accounting for 55.7% of the export share of the country during 10 months to this market are items: computers, electronic products and components with USD 818.19 million, an increase of 55.4% over the same period.

Machinery, equipment, tools and other spare parts are also goods with turnover of hundred million USD (USD 193.52 million), accounting for 13.17%, decreased  by 39.22% over the same period.

Rubber products are the item with the strongest growth in the first 10 months of the year with 243.31% reaching USD 5.21 million. In addition, a number of items with increased value such as: Coffee (+ 35.44%) reaching USD 33.64 million; Confectionery and cereal products (+ 56.62%) reaching USD 20.4 million; bamboo, rattan, sedge and carpet products (+ 44.32%) reaching USD 5.81 million.

Notably, tea products with a 10-month proportion of only 0.03% reaching USD 494.47 thousand but Vietnam boosted export of this item in October alone to USD 119.92 thousand (+ 258.98%) compared to the previous month.
