On the evening of May 26, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Outstanding Banking Awards ceremony was held by the International Data Group in Vietnam (IDG Vietnam). Agribank was honored to receive three awards: “Outstanding bank for high-tech agricultural investment”; "Outstanding bank for green credit financing" and "Outstanding bank for the community”.

This is the 11th year in a row that the honoring ceremony for Vietnam Outstanding Banks has been held, the prestigious annual award in the banking sector to honor banks with outstanding achievements in terms of banking operations, products and services, making contribution to the development of the country, etc.

For many years, developing high-tech agriculture based on scientific and technological innovation has been considered as one of the key and central solutions to solve challenges in agricultural development. Agribank has been proactive in providing capital as well as practical advice and support to customers. In order to support customers to access preferential loans to promote production and business, Agribank has been implementing many credit programs with preferential interest rates in line with the policies of the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam. Many other practical and timely programs have been implemented by Agribank to support the development of this field, which is the reason why Agribank is honored to receive the award for "Outstanding bank for high-tech agricultural investment”.

Agribank always takes the lead in implementing the direction of the State Bank of Vietnam on promoting green credit growth, managing environmental and social risks in credit granting activities. Recognizing the importance of green credit financing, contributing to the common goal of combating global climate change, Agribank has promoted credit for projects has the goal of protecting the environment, reducing net emissions, and encouraging environmentally friendly business activities. This activity is in line with the National Strategy on Green Growth, Sustainable Development and the green banking development in Vietnam. The "Outstanding bank for green credit financing" award once again affirms Agribank's efforts in joining hands in "greening" banking activities.

Having become a good tradition, taking care and helping the poor, disadvantaged people and policy beneficiary families has always been recognized by Agribank's branches throughout the system as an important task and therefore promoted with practical and pervasive activities and programs with the motto: “Leaving no one behind”.  In 2022, from Agribank's financial sources and with the strong support of nearly 40,000 employees throughout the system, Agribank spent more than VND 600 billion for the implementation of social security activities.

The highlight of Agribank's social security activities in 2022 is financial funding for education. In 2022, funding for the education sector is more than VND 166 billion with 11 school buildings, 6 classroom buildings, boarding houses and a lot of training equipment and management software from Agribank's financial contribution. In addition, Agribank spent more than VND 44 billion to support healthcare activities, e.g. construction of 6 health stations/facilities, procurement of 22 specialized ambulances; more than VND 12 billion to support the purchase of medical equipment.

Like a swallow bringing the spring, Agribankers are still silently acting as a bridge of compassion, joining hands with the community to bring love and bright faith to the less fortunate. As of the end of 2022, together with the completion of business tasks of the whole system, Agribank also completed social security work as planned with the motto "Leaving no one behind". Each Agribank's social security program is not only a material value, but also a responsibility of the business to the community, a heart-to-heart connection of each Agribanker on the journey of spreading benevolent values and maintaining the image of a bank honored the "Outstanding bank for the community" award.
