On September 18, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Retail Banking Forum 2025 took place under the theme “Inclusive Digital Finance: The Era of Data and Digital Assets – Towards a Modern and Sustainable Financial Hub”. The event attracted strong attention from domestic and international banks and financial institutions. Within the framework of the forum, Agribank once again affirmed its pioneering role through its comprehensive digital transformation efforts and was honored with four prestigious awards, leaving a strong mark on the Vietnamese retail banking landscape.

In the context of the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam promoting the modernization of the banking industry, Agribank has demonstrated its strategic vision by identifying technology as the breakthrough to drive comprehensive development. Moving beyond the goal of expanding access to financial services for all, Agribank is steadily building a comprehensive, multi-channel, multi-utility digital financial ecosystem, aiming by 2030 to form and develop a modern digital banking model. At the heart of this strategy is the effective development and utilization of digital data in connection with the national database, the enhancement of security and safety in operations, and, at the same time, a strong focus on training and developing a digital workforce equipped with innovative thinking and the ability to adapt flexibly to rapid technological changes.

Notably, Agribank has implemented a variety of concrete solutions to enhance customer experience. The intelligent transaction counter model is gradually replacing the traditional service model, helping customers in both urban areas and remote regions access banking services more quickly, conveniently, and effectively. The bank has also actively applied advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and Open API to develop smart financial products and services that meet diverse customer needs. For Agribank, digital transformation is not only a technological mission but also a commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development, demonstrated by embedding ESG (Environmental – Social – Governance) factors into all activities, thereby affirming its role as a companion to communities and the long-term development of the nation.

These efforts were recognized when Agribank was presented with four prestigious awards at the Vietnam Outstanding Banking Awards 2025, namely: Outstanding Retail Bank, Outstanding Green Credit Bank, Bank for the Community, and Bank Supporting High-Tech Agriculture. These accolades serve as convincing evidence of Agribank’s innovative capacity and determination in fulfilling its “Tam nông” (agriculture – rural areas – farmers) mission, while highlighting the bank’s vital role in modernizing the national financial system, promoting green and sustainable economic growth, and improving the lives of people across the country.
