On July 18, 2025, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) was honored to receive the "STP Excellence Award 2024" for outstanding international payment quality from Citibank.

This award recognizes banks with superior international payment messaging quality, operational efficiency, and strict compliance with global standards in transaction processing. This year's recognition reaffirms Agribank's continuous efforts in modernizing international payment operations, enhancing customer experience, and deepening collaboration with the global correspondent banking network. Earlier this year, Agribank was also honored to receive the "Special Recognition Award" from Wells Fargo Bank (USA), acknowledging significant improvements in payment messaging quality and bilateral agency cooperation.

For many years, Agribank has been recognized by reputable international financial institutions such as Wells Fargo, Citibank, JPMorgan, Standard Chartered Bank, and The Bank of New York Mellon for its outstanding achievements in the field of international payments. This is a clear testament to Agribank’s international transaction processing quality, affirming its reputation and position in the international payment arena, while also serving as a driving force for the entire system to continue innovating, developing, and accompanying customers in the digital era. Agribank continues to invest in technology, expand international cooperation, and consistently improve service quality – actively contributing to the Vietnam’s banking sector's integration into global financial markets.

In addition, Agribank is currently proactively accelerating the standardization of transaction data and upgrading its digital infrastructure to meet the requirements of transitioning the Swift system to ISO 20022 standards. This is not only a compliance objective but also a strategic step to enhance competitiveness, strengthen connectivity in the global payment value chain, and provide customers with more effective, seamless, and transparent services.
