On September 4, 2025, in Hanoi, Agribank participated in the Vietnam – Italy Economic Partnership Forum, jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), and the Italian Industrial Federation. The Forum was attended by Mr. Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, Mr. Hồ Sĩ Hùng, Deputy Minister of Finance of Vietnam, together with leaders of ministries, agencies, diplomatic representatives, and the business communities of both countries.
Within the framework of the event, Agribank and SACE – the Italian Export Credit Agency exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the witness of the two Deputy Ministers, marking an important step forward in promoting Vietnam – Italy trade and investment through modern financial and export credit insurance solutions.
Founded in 1977 in Rome, SACE is Italy’s leading export credit agency, providing financing, guarantees, and risk insurance solutions to support Italian enterprises and their international partners in expanding exports and investment. With its extensive network of financial partners, SACE serves as a bridge between Italian suppliers and global buyers, driving sustainable and effective business cooperation.
As Vietnam’s leading commercial bank, Agribank not only plays a leading role in credit for agriculture, rural development, and farmers, but also actively supports businesses in international trade, machinery and equipment imports, technology cooperation, and supply chain development with European partners.
Under the MoU, the two sides agreed to establish a cooperation framework to facilitate opportunities for financing, guarantees, and insurance in trade and investment between Vietnamese and Italian enterprises. The MoU also lays the groundwork for Agribank, in collaboration with SACE, to support Vietnamese businesses in accessing international financial resources, particularly in the areas of manufacturing, high-tech agriculture, infrastructure, and supporting services.
The signing of the MoU is not only a milestone in the cooperation between Agribank and SACE but also carries practical significance for enterprises of both countries. It expands opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to access capital, import advanced equipment, and upgrade supply chains. Leveraging its nationwide network and diverse customer base, Agribank continues to affirm its role as a trusted partner accompanying businesses, contributing to sustainable Vietnam – Italy trade and investment cooperation.
