Agribank: Bridging Technology and Finance
18/08/2026
For Agribank, digital transformation is not only about building technology platforms. It is also closely linked to the goal of expanding access to financial services for a broad range of people, particularly those in agricultural and rural areas.
Agribank currently has more than 12 million accounts and 14 million cards in rural areas. More than half a million vulnerable people and 2 million beneficiaries receive social welfare and insurance payments through bank accounts. Over 200 smart kiosks, hundreds of AI-integrated digital service stations, and an AI-powered contact centre supporting 15 million customers are helping bring digital services closer to people.
Agribank Plus currently serves more than 15 million customers, offering nearly 200 products, services and features. The platform also integrates online lending services, with 5,192 disbursements representing a total disbursement value of VND 38.4 billion, an outstanding loan balance of VND 5.02 billion, and 3,408 customers served.
For corporate customers, Agribank eBanking and ERP Connect have digitalised a wide range of financial operations. Agribank eBanking currently serves more than 73,000 corporate customers, with an activity rate of 99.88%. In 2026 alone, more than 18,000 businesses registered for the service.
Agribank is also stepping up efforts to bring digital services closer to people through Kiosk Smart Form and Digital Public Service Stations. By integrating AI, OCR, VNeID authentication and digital data, the Digital Public Service Stations have reduced application processing time from around 15 minutes to just 3–5 minutes. As of 30 June 2026, more than 30,400 instances of access and use had been recorded across six localities.
Alongside the development of digital services, Agribank places strong emphasis on data security, connectivity with the National Population Database, and VNeID integration. In 2025, Agribank standardised data for more than 10.2 million individual customers and 143,693 organisational customers. The “Agribank Safe Flow” solution contributes to strengthening fraud detection and prevention while protecting customers in digital transactions.
For a bank with an extensive network and deep-rooted presence in agricultural and rural areas such as Agribank, digital transformation therefore carries a broader significance than simply changing the way transactions are conducted. It is a process of narrowing the gap in access to financial services and enabling people and businesses to participate more deeply in the digital economy.
Building on the digital foundations developed over recent years, Agribank is gradually moving towards a smart banking model, where technology is not separate from banking operations but becomes an integral part of how Agribank serves customers, manages its operations and creates value.
Every digital connection, therefore, represents more than an additional convenience. It is also a bridge that brings the value of technology closer to people and businesses across the country.
